The course lasts 2 days in workshop format, aimed at those who do via ferratas or equipped paths and want to have resources when solving problems and resolving unsafe situations. The space where the training will take place will have 3 via ferratas of different levels and perfect for carrying out the proposed exercises.

Program

We will start by learning to use the rope as a tool to help people or solve unforeseen situations. On the 1st day we will do practical workshops and an easy via ferrata to simulate rescue situations; abandoning a route or supporting a colleague who is having difficulty progressing with our equipment.

On the 2nd day we will do a medium-level via ferrata to identify possible dangerous situations; how to anticipate and manage problems arising from a partner's fall, rappel to leave the route or simply help someone without compromising our safety and that of our partner.


Objectives and contents:

  • Learn to progress on via ferratas and solve the most frequent incidents.
  • Progress with a novice or child on a via ferrata
  • Rappel maneuver to leave a via ferrata.
  • Know and identify specific via ferrata equipment and how it works.
  • Rescue a person with the counterweight maneuver.
  • Anticipate dangerous situations and support someone without compromising our safety.
