"Spectacular classic route that runs through dihedrals of great beauty with a moderate difficulty of IV and Vº."
The Gómez Xalmet route was opened in 1957 and has become a great classic due to its logical route and moderate grade. The best season to enjoy this climb is autumn and spring. The route mainly runs along large dihedrals that are comfortable to climb on very good quality rock. From the 2nd pitch we will feel the void under our feet accompanied by an atmosphere of tranquility and pleasant temperature. To descend we will make a 20m rappel and return through the hermitage of Sant Salvador. Available for the coldest days of the year because it is oriented to the south slope and protected from the wind. The guide will supervise the activity at all times and will lead the roped group from beginning to end.
The Program We will meet at 9:00 at the Montserrat Monastery and head towards Sant Benet (30' walk from the Monastery). Before starting the climb, there will be a review of personal equipment and a review of safety rules. The technician will lead the roped group from start to finish. In the event of adverse weather forecast or change of plans, the guide will choose the most suitable route in order to adjust the level of difficulty and enjoy the experience to the fullest.
