Program

The first day of the course will be spent in a climbing school in a natural environment where we will climb single-pitch routes, do rappelling maneuvers, set up meetings at height (15 meters), belay our rope partner and learn to organize our equipment. The second day we will go to the mountain to do an equipped and easy long route to test all the knowledge acquired during the first class. The location may be Montserrat or Berguedà depending on the weather or the participant's interest.

Objectives and contents:

  • Climb routes of various pitches as a 1st roper safely.
  • Hold meetings and belay the 2nd roper.
  • Practice and refresh the rappel maneuver.
  • Read and interpret a climbing review.
  • Learn to belay with a dynamic knot.
  • Strategy and decision-making.
  • Know and learn how to tie specific knots.

    What should we bring?

    Personal climbing equipment: Harness, helmet and crampons. Backpack 20-30 l capacity. Water and food.
